``b) defendant Leckrone, acting on behalf of defendant
Moore, asked Higgins ``if it was possible to
separate Chuck`s inventive contributions from
[Fish`s]. Based on my belief that [Fish`s] primary
contribution was the clock circuit, I told
[Leckrone] that this could be done by canceling the
claims to the clock circuit and any other
contribution of [Fish`s] from the application. I
later found out from Chuck that [Fish`s]
contributions were much more extensive than the
clock circuit, and then advised both of them that
such a separation would not be feasible``).``
This would be my problem...looks to me that the column latch architecture along with 4byte 8bit register arrangement... belongs to one or the other....from reading this I would say it belongs to Fish....on both accounts.
Also from the phrase at the top....``The segment about Sh-Boom on Moore`s website
stated that ``Russell Fish suggested a 32-bit chip
with 8-bit instructions. . .``
If this is truly Fishes idea....this is the main ingredient to the Sh-Boom as a first implementation....it`s the underpinning....for the register concept...as well as the later Column latch concept....
This magnifies what Fish was brought in for...to short cut the internal and external bus arrangements....which calumniates to the creation of the... DRAM / 310 processor.
It`s all derived from the creation of BUS integration...I can see it as a concept of one mind and thought process...not a collaborative effort.
What did Fish work on prior to the Sh-Boom ? Would it have been related to BUS architecture ?
