Read carefully the press release again. It doesn't say the MMP was licenced by Toshiba, Matsushita or JVC. The only thing concerning the MMP is that only NEC Elec. Corp. and their subsidiaries has been granted use of it. The headline states that A microprocessor dispute (not necessarily MMP) has been settled with only TPL. Which microprocessor dispute?....who knows? Kinda tricky of them to mix the two different disputes in one press release, huh? IMHO

The thing is TPL is a private co. and doesn't have to say exactly what dispute they are announcing.

TPL, Toshiba, Matsushita (Panasonic), and JVC Resolve Microprocessor Dispute

CUPERTINO, Calif. - Dec. 18, 2007 -- The TPL Group and Patriot Scientific Corporation announced today that they have entered into a business resolution of their legal disputes with NEC Electronics America in two patent infringement lawsuits pending in the US District Courts in the Eastern District of Texas and the Northern District of California. The terms of their settlement include the grant by the TPL Group of rights under the Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio to NEC Electronics Corporation and its subsidiaries. The parties have agreed that the details of the settlement are confidential.
