FYI - From the 10q the J's already have in their possesion "license agreements" to the MMP:

"The terms of the settlement included the grant by TPL of rights under the Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio to NEC Electronics America, Toshiba, Matsushita and JVC and their respective subsidiaries in the form of license agreements."

I'm not sure why they would pay again for the MMP. I see some other forms of contingent additional payments, or other business arrangements as potentially plausible, though I still think unlikely. We may never know, but hopefully the future will reveal all.
