I appreciate your input as a person who has sat on advisory boards. Your opinion is registered.
But consider the entire situation here. A vocal critic gets appointed, muted from making further criticism, made a figure-head, and is then ignored for the most part, and receives no compensation (other than some possible inside information). And this goes on for years, literally. His role is to advise management of shareholder sentiment and advise in the interest of shareholders, yet shareholders have to act more-or-less independently to send messages to management.
As I expressed earlier today, perhaps management will be taken aback by his resignation, and give the situation some warranted consideration. Consideration that may result in a positive outcome for shareholders. "Quit ignoring us!". If so, my intent will have been met.
