Hopefully we both can agree that niether us have the answer. That being said, I still believe there is more to the different words then you acknowledge. Any type of settlement is an "agreement" but I believe there is a reason why the words were only used regarding the two settlements in question. First, it is clear the company is being very deliberate and careful with how they are wording everything so I dont believe they just happened to used different words for the RIMM announcement and J2.5 announcement when every other PR for every other company used the word "purchased." This is particularly so given that those two announcement are also the only ones that came with expressed confidentiality - just a coincidence?
