SAN DIEGO -- Patriot Scientific Corp. announced today a new chairman, CEO, and president -- a lawyer. And a lawyer is perhaps what is needed, as Patriot now will be functioning under a complex set of legal arrangements that include, according to a filing with the SEC today, a license agreement between Patriot and Intel Corp. covering the rights to use of technology covered by patents that Patriot has said it owns.
The terms of the agreement with Intel were not disclosed, but Patriot's new CEO said today that the company anticipates a "strong revenue stream" going forward. Intel's license and royalty payments are to be shared between Patriot and privately held Technology Properties Ltd., Cupertino, Calif.
