I listened to the audio also and felt that Cook proved his case quietly and to the point whereas the other guy was more on the attack and made allegations that he didn't seem to be able to follow up on and prove.

Yes, the other guy talked louder and was more assertive/aggressive but Cook more directly answered the court's questions even though it took them a while to understand (hopefully they did understand).
