I noticed the the USPTO is apparently looking at everything connected to the 749. 5659703 is presently in the record room, and the only connection is the 749.

So, my question is this. If the USPTO decides to reexamine the 749, does that put all other reexams on hold until the 749 is done?

A yes answer is not necessarily bad news. The other patents remain valid for at least another 2/3 years with no chance of being shot down by the USPTO in that time frame. Opty
