Three things can happen on a reexam...it can stay the same, it can be adjusted with certain claims being deleted, and it can be adjusted with claims being added and the original claims actually being edited to make them stronger and or sometimes weaker.
Actually a fourth item could occur the reexam could nullify the patent too. But lets not even go there.
The following is a prior post to show what occurs even AFTER the notification of intent to issue a reexmaionation certificate occurs.

The thing here. for me at least, is that if they notified the company of the intent for the reexam certificate back on the 17th. they should have had it in their hands by now and then a PR and a posting to the PTO site should have occurred by now. In my past experiences with these things they usally occur right after another. Notify the owner, mail the certificate of intent and post it to the website ...all in a rapid succession. it is now the 20th and if it has been mailed it should be on the site by now and a PR should have been issued. This, by all standards, is a signifcant event that should be PR'd ASAP. JMO.
