From the last pr: ...all producers of microprocessor-based products and dependent services to place a high priority on the purchase of an MMP Portfolio License to reduce potential financial exposure...
From Mattel license-anouncement: “All producers of microprocessor-based products and dependent services should be placing high priority on the purchase of a license for the fundamental MMP Portfolio technologies to reduce related financial exposure.” ... “Microprocessor chips are truly ubiquitous and this latest signing just reinforces the point.”
From Tokyo Electron license-anouncement: "It's gratifying to know that this microprocessor technology is so useful and so widespread."
From Humax license-anouncement: "The company’s products are ubiquitous and user-friendly, and I like to think that our technology played a part in that success."
From Alpine Electronics license-anouncement: "This agreement is a wonderful recognition of the strength and broad scope of the MMP Portfolio," ...
Nothing changed so far at least not in the anouncements, obviously no sign of weakness in assuming to own "patents of water".
Is the release of a pr with "all producers of microprocessor-based products and dependent services to place a high priority on the purchase of an MMP Portfolio License to reduce potential financial exposure" just to scare some companies and to make them sign a license? If so, they haven't been very successful with the tactics of bewilderment during the last months. Or is it simply the truth telling the world, "we own safe patents of a unique technology, come on everybody and sign licenses".
I'll take it the way the words are written or spoken, at least as long as there isn't any proof for the opposite. There is no reason to take part in the speculating about conspiracy theories or misleading statements from TPL, PTSC or Alliacense to take ptsc shareholders to the cleaners. Even though I'm convinced that there are people who don't like to share a huge potential income.
I guess thats also what Mr. Goerner wanted to tell people in his last shareholder letter.
