It's almost funny (in a warped way). I'd say nearly everyone here, myself included, when asked "why did you invest in PTSC", we'd answer "because of the technology (old school) or the patents (now in vogue)".
Pre-Swartz, it was the tech. The ShBoom, the Ground Penetrating RADAR, the SONAR application, the Plasma (ionized gas) Antenna.
At least 90% of the people here never heard of PTSC until recently (within the last 5 years). Almost all of the "bitchable" decisions had already been made. The warrant situation was visible. The credentials of management and (especially) the BoD were visible.
I just deleted two more paragraphs along these lines, because a reasonable person can think the rest through for themselves. Bottom line, did anyone here invest because of the company leadership?
Unfortunate as it may be, the complaint window closed the day you invested.
Change? Going about it the right way? People should think long and hard before loading the shotgun.
Can change be effected by lowly retail? I seriously doubt it, and don't know of a single example of success.
So there you have it.
Constant bitching isn't going to do it. A Shareholder's Letter ain't going to do it (they've been so well received...).
IMO, seriously, people should be extremely happy that positive changes are taking place. But understand WE didn't make it happen (possible minor influence, at best). But it's happening - but some focus elsewhere. They focus on the negative that EVERYONE is aware of. And they beat the hell out of it.
Ignore the positive changes that are taking place, and choose to constantly complain about things overwhich we have virtually no control, and never will. It's like complaining about the weather.
Complain, complain, complain - so prospective investors can get an earful.
Complain, complain, complain about the weather, and see if people considering moving to your town do. Big hint: they won't.
So, the complainers should figure out some viable way to effect the desired change (good luck on that one) or give it a rest. In any case, until a viable approach(es) is determined, shared and adopted, they should give it a rest. Anything else is clearly detrimental, IMO.
Personally, I'd like some new neighbors, in spite of the weather.
