That confirms my suspicions all along. I assumed it was a one-time fee, otherwise PTSC would have put a positive look-forward spin on the AMD deal (Unless prohibited by a NDA). Without a future revenue stream from such a KEY firm, how does PTSC expect to become a royalty money-making machine?
Now you know why the SP is what it is.
What upsets me greatly is what little dollars PTSC got!!..Granted beggars, can`t be choosers axiom, but wouldn`t 6 months of ``negotiations``, generated a more fruitful outcome given the stakes??...It appears the first at-the-trough rule is quite appropriate here. For a few million, AMD has bought cheap insurance. Future deals with likely infringers are key. Given past history, I have no confidence the terms will be any more favorable to PTSC. AMD has set the bar so low you could trip over it.
Mantra: Beggars can`t be choosers! Beggars can`t be choosers! I know! I know!.........
