And the funny thing is that the woman deserved every penny.

The news media had the entire story wrong, beginning to end, and it developed a life of its own. When I query my law students on the case, they agree the woman should not have gotten anything. When we study the facts, they are astonished and agree she did not get enough.

There is a lesson in that, I think.
