OPTY...if you read on the IFW what wa spresnted to PTO on 11/13/07, it was almost a doubling of the orignal claims on this patent.
Claims 1-29 are original...only number 29 is subject for reexamination of those original ones.
New claims were added...30-54 they are also subject for reexamination.
With this many new claims to be researched and examined this one could take longer than the cuurent ones under reexamination...for example...Morre, on the 148, only discussed claims 4 and 8 at the meeting with the examiner...and his letter will be based on those 2 claims...so far anyway...
The letter is due at the end of this month, that will get posted the following week IMO and then the examiner has unlinmited time ot review that, make a deciison and take it to committee for finalization before a final rejection or an order to issue a reexam certificate is posted...there is really no time limit to when that fianl action by the PTO has ot occur...my guess is 3 to 6 weeks after the letter arrives.
So it is possible we could see some final action on the 148 before the 584, only because of he workload involved on the 584 to complete it. JMO
