We need to consider that RG is not finished building all the non-MMP business - security, healthcare, IP licensing. I think at this point only RG & co. have some idea on how large of an organization PTSC will morph into. But I have to assume he's not thinking small. In that case the split could still allow for significant MMP revs.

Also, even if everyone wanted to sign up for an MMP license tomorrow, there is a limit to how many they can handle w/o bulking up on manpower and draining MMP profits. Once the main patents are through reexam, I suspect that the cost of a license will go up significantly, and more licensees will opt for paying over a period of time as opposed to lump sum. All IMHO.
