Reuters has a rating system that uses 4 components to calculate a weighted "Overall Investment rating" for companies they watch.
PTSC’s overall rating remains the highest they have = Outperform. "Outperform" designates the companies that rank in the top 30% of companies covered by Reuters
What is somewhat troubling is that within the past few months the 4 components have changed from all being rated Outperform to only 2 being rated Outperform.
The 4 component’s ratings and their % weighting factor are:
Fundamental Quality = Outperform 36%
Technical Factors = Underperform 27% (lowest rating)
Operational Trends = Neutral 13%
Value Catch-up = Outperform 24%
Not surprising, Technical Factors = SP trend,
and Operational Factors = Sales & EPS growth.
If you have access to Reuters reports the detailed analysis is worth looking at – it’s the kind of details large institutional investors watch. It's not a bad story.
