How would Judge Folcom Know our Js case was "pending"?

Would he have to speak with judge Ward and be told the arrangement or request a document of the "business agreement" in the case. Either way Judge Folcom did us a favor in transferring the case and at the same time did us a bigger favor by giving us some vital information that we were not privlidged to have.
