Message: just a couple of thoughts on the Asustek signing......

One of the reasons Asustek was signed was because they were the only one of the three T3's with the flash core portfolio involved in the suit. Once that issue was cleared up it would hopefully pave the way to a venue transfere to Texas. Since all the suits involved a total of 9 patents, Judge Ward only ruled in the Markman on three. Now that we have the settlement with Asustek that releases the four flash core patents and leaves 5 remaining. Five that are related. Since Judge Ward is very familiar with the case and the remaining patents are related, there are very good grounds for a venue change. That was our incentive to settle along with any cash.

It was apparently a significant issue with us.The case could be tied up in California for years, but only months in Texas.
