I am not a conspiracy theorist, however we all scratch our heads over the J3 settlement.

Every other company has "purchased" a license. The J's were granted a license. If a purchase and a grant are the same then why use the word Grant which then requires an astereck on financial statements.

Is it possible the J's refused to purchase a license because they insisted the patents were invalid or some other unknown reason, but agreed to pay money for ? reasons and TPL agreed to Grant them a license no charge?

The J's have two issues no one else has, a "Grant" and a "Mou"
