Thank you to all who were able to participate with a live call-in, and for the questions you asked. Nearly all of my questions were addressed by the information provided by RG, et al. I find the following quote by RG during the call regarding Crossflo projections to be encouraging...
"We believe the potential for our target markets and channel partners will drive calendar year 2009 revenues for Crossflo to $3.0 million to $6.0 million, reflecting Crossflo’s current limited customer base and the broad range of unpredictability in these two emerging markets. Subsequent project wins with additional customers will allow us to provide you more visibility within the range as the year progresses."
It appears that the $3M-$6M revenue projection includes contract work already secured or reasonably expected to be secured soon. Subsequently, as additional contracts are secured, the revenue projections will be updated to include them. RG, RS and the others on the call representing the company presented themselves in a way that conveyed to me their knowledge of market variables, what their position in the market is and what needs to be done to make progress toward achieving success. In two words: Measured Confidence. This is a solid start in a market that appears to have much potential, but I will be the first to admit what comes next will need to be substantial in the way of new and continued securing of additional customers and contracts. As stated in previous posts, my time-line for this ramp-up to high profitability is 12-24 months, meaning I expect 2010 to be a year of substantial progress.
Having worked with public and private entities in my field, I understand the NDA issues and the reluctance of these entities to publicly release information, especially if it includes details of a project. I have experienced much opposition to my own requests submitted to these entities to use information regarding secured, in-progress and completed projects for marketing and business development purposes. It can be done, even in light of a signed NDA, but it is a tough row to hoe, as they say.
Overall, I was satisfied with the CC, not only as a method of communication, but in the information disseminated. I have been in PTSC for 3 years, and over the last 12 months I have experienced a marked change in this company and the ability of its management. Patriot Scientific is starting to feel like it is a real company. I read in this forum many posts that are full of angst, and rightly so given the history of this as an investment. However, I know the past cannot be altered, and the future is dependent on the choices made in the present, and I am of the opinion that the choices being made by RG and staff are executed on a basis of thorough investigation, analysis and forethought in an effort to transform this company into a successful and profitable one. It is my choice to stay invested and I look forward to my investment providing a return commensurate with the amount of pain experienced along its path to success.
Cheers,
DG
