The EPO or European Patent Office would be the equivalent of the USPTO. Understood....and they share common objectives with the Japan Patent Office and the USPTO as you have outlined. However, what does that have to do with the German Federal Patent Court validating the MMP. Seems to me that someone challenged their validity and the court ruled in favor of the MMP. To the extent of the authority of this court it appears this is the final say in the matter. The fact that they even have a federal patent court and they reaffirmed the validity of patents belonging to foreign entities speaks volumes to me. I think the USPTO will take notice!
