A friend of mine is a patent lawyer in Munich and since years he visits big fairs to search for potential infringers and counterfeiter (? correct word?) of his client's products.
If he finds these products there are two possibilities: Either the company pays or he calls the police to shut the booth.
There was one example of a famous swiss knife producer, who confiscated those products at the CebIT 2007 (I couldn't find an english version of this article). Though these products were "only" faked products, it also works for products, where the producers stole the technology. The german law is very strict and fast - as long someone does the work to check the products.
So let's hope TPL is going to the CeBIT this year - I'll be there because some of our clients are exhibitors, maybe I'll visit some of TPL/PTSC's potential licensees...;-)
