The last thing that I want to see is licences being given away using the "credit crunch excuse" as the sole reason.

I humbly suggest that most, if not all, companies put on notice will have a contingency reserve to defray potential litigation/licensing costs, something to do with fiduciary duty.

Please remember that this is just as much about past infringement(when the good times were rolling)as it is about now. They made their billions on the back of the MMP Portfolio and it's getting close to the time to pay the piper.

Did the infringers give one hoot about the struggle of PTSC over the years?

They had plenty of opportunity to avail themselves of the discounted rates, those with wisdom took them. Are they now to be punished for being early movers by their competitors licensing for the same amount, or less!?

If they don't have the $$$, let them use unrestricted stock. But whatever the settlement, let it be a fair representation of ALL the profits made/to be made on the back of the infringed patents.

PTSC is a business, not a charity.
