I'll throw this out there as food for thought. If you're a big German company that wants to freeze out the competition, perhaps one avenue is to buy the MMP outright, and NOT license it to the competition, and go the injunction route to stop them from selling their competitive products.

I throw it out there not so much as a proposition, but to illustrate that there are still pobably different ways to skin the cat still.
