Going over this in my head again, I just can't help laughing. The examiner says all that is needed for the two Kato clocks to be asynchronous is that the clocks have different frequencies. Separately he admits the two clocks never have the same frequency. Which means they can never pass infromation between circuits controlled by each clock. CPU can not communicate with memory. Memory can not communicate with CPU. At this point all logic seems to escape me as to why anyone would want to combine Kato with a ring oscillator.
Come on people. You have to laugh. There is little else we can do.
Be careful of what you wish for segment. In their desire to kill the 336, USPTO may open pandora's box. 5,825 patents contain asynchronous in their claims. Essentially all involving electronics. And if asynchronous is not what all those other patent holders thought it was ........ Hmmmmm. I think USPTO will be in Federal Court pretty quick. There's a happy thought.
