I'll just assume your post was an attempt at sarcasm. If you don't see qualifications in the post below, then I guess we could always see if Mr. Turley would come back. How does that sound?
"He served as President and COO of the Storage Products Group of Texas Instruments, a one billion dollar supplier of mixed signal and analog ICs for the hard disk drive market. Previously, Goerner served as President and CEO of TransDimension Inc, an Irvine, California based, venture-financed, technology start-up company providing embedded Universal Serial Bus (USB) silicon and software solutions to a global customer base. TransDimension was acquired by Oxford Semiconductor in 2005."
What else can you ask for when looking for an individual to lead a company like Patriot out of the dark? The man has intangible assets that only come through high level experience. We have the best of both worlds. A person who ran a one billion dollar division and followed that up by aiding a start-up and it's eventual acquisition. If that's failure, I'll take it all day long. I know leadership when I hear it. This man isn't new to the game and the CC only furthered my belief in that. I don't feel like he dodged any questions, outside of the MMP, and he explained up front it could not be discussed. Everything else was fair game. Mr. Goerner personally went the extra mile to help the lay person understand exactly what the Crossflo CDX platform does. I really appreciated his explaination because it clarified some misunderstanding I had on the intent of the technology. What I really gleamed from that was his own personal involvement in understanding the technology that he has chosen to pursue. He isn't just taking us off a cliff, there is a clear path chosen and that is were we are headed like it or not. I'm amazed that a man of his credentials would even agree to run Patriot. He must have been given plenty of assurance that it would be his baby to grow. My biggest fear would be his premature departure from the company. If that were to occur, then all bets are off IMO.
This is a simple "Needs versus Wants" issue. We all "want" the man to tell us everything will be fine. The MMP is untouchable, the Crossflo platform will be a $200 million revenue source in 3 years, Avot will become the standard wireless video source, your all going to get your money back etc. etc. etc.. What we "need" is a person who has the experience and technical background to lead us forward with or without the MMP Portfolio. A person who understands what it means to run a billion dollar operation or skimp by on a few million while you attempt to build your start-up company. It sounds to me like our "needs" have been met.
