If IBM were negotiating to buy the MMP and Mr. Bibeau knew about, no way no how could Mr. Bibeau make a purchase (without it being insider trading). I worked in the legal department for an investment company - please trust me on this.
These types of debates go on most stock discussion boards. Anyone here read the Edig board? The posters recently thew off one of their long time board participants (an attorney) because he would correct all the "this thing can't lose rhetoric" - they claimed he was a basher. He did end up getting back on the discussion board. I think some people who have a lot/too much riding on the stock refuse to hear, read or believe anything negative about the company. Remember Greeneyes? If you said "anything" negative about the stock she acted like you insulted her mother. She claimed to have been a CEO but could not let anything negative about the company be creep into her brain - bizzare. Some posters here are pretty close to having the same psychosis as Greeneys had. A "Final Rejection" is not "Much ado about nothing". Just ask any patent holder who has received one. Brian can be harsh, but he's right, there can not be any negotiations going on if Bibeau just bought. Just reality folks.
If you care to look at this stock with your eyes wide open, it is plain to see that it is a "long shot". I'm still in because at least it's still a "shot". Things aren't going well, final rejection, dried up revenue and 90% SP drop is not a good thing. We should be able to discuss the good and the bad. The bad doesn't have to be stifled or spun into something different than it is.
