<what make you and many others think that TPL is hurting for money??? >
Primarily 3 reasons, keeping this in mind. TPL is a 125-person company which makes 90 percent of its revenues licensing its technology and patents.
1. We know revenue from MMP is down and that is probably 90% of the license revenues.
2. TPL does have some products for sale. That requires manufacturing, inventory, marketing, sales, etc........ IMHO they are not yet selling enough of anything to be profitable. Hence any profit from licensing needs to support those businesses.
3. TPL was supporting the S40 chip development. If rolling in $, why not finish the development work?
Perhaps making a little money on non-MMP licensing, especially if pushing off Alliacense costs to MMP. How much do you think those licenses go for? I think they are averaging about 1 a month.
I wouldn't assume any $ in Leckrone's pocket is TPL's. Why would you think that? Opty
