Opty I agree with you 100%. That was the point I was trying to make to Ease as well last night, allthough you articulate it much better than I did.

Many have already jumped to the conclusion that the 584 is now weaker without pointing out why.

It appears to me that the 584 patent came through the recertification process relatively unscathed and may actually be strengthened by the new revision of claim 29.

The Choate report indicates that a challenged patent that passes the harsh scrutiny of the PTO has a strenthened presumption of validity, one that bears the imprimatur of the USPTO.
