If they don't mention anything about claims 1-28 being in effect I'll be worried. However, the reexamination certificate indicated the following:


(1) Patent claim(s) confirmed:.__.

(2) Patent ciaim(s) amended (including dependent on amended claim(s)): 29

(3) Patent claim(s) cancelled:____ .

(4) Newly presented claim (s) patentable:___ .

(5) Newly presented cancelled claims: 30-54.

Which makes no mention of of claims 1-28 at all. So they should be in effect. I think the confusion arose because an accompanying document mentioned claims allowed=1
