Rare - I reluctantly agree with your hunch - it makes a lot of sense. The big shot patent killer would not have jumped in if he thought he was going to waste his clients' time and money. This is Patriot and the MMP afterall - which never seem to catch a break. When the MMP was pulling in big $$$$ the company squandered it - we just can't cathc a break.
