There’s no need to call a lawyer, they’ll call you

When a lawsuit is warranted lawyers will seek us out.
I’ve been there twice. Both times the company had a good business model and was making money. Both times the CEO and CFO got greedy along with a few other officers. They were big time dishonest. In one case they left the country with huge bank accounts full of money – getting much of the money through insider short selling. They knew there stock would crash as they knew they were about to be exposed.
The lawyers flocked in and actually recovered about 10% of my investment – 3 years later.
If you have to pay for a layer to get them to take the case, there's probably little chance for success. They’ll come to you when there’s a legal case to be made – after all, they'll only make money if they get money back for the investors.
