Don't expect fast rising EPS, even though PTSC is on the right track.
This is a company that sells applications now - with a trickle of revenue from patent sales.
That's just what almost all technology companies do - they sell their products and get a few bucks from licensing their patents. Products yield ninety-some % of their earnings. Isn't that what RG has been saying will happen to PTSC?
Some of us thought he was saying product revenue (red cherry piece of pie) would grow fast to make the pie chart transition. I think now we know he meant that MMP revenue (blue water piece) would evaporate fast.
Too bad there wasn't some $ scale on the pie pieces. Our next few 10Qs may in fact closely resemble the Future pie, with little or no EPS.
Except for products like the hulahoop, few products sky rocket to success. There's almost always those nasty competitors out there, many with existing large customer bases. It's good to see PTSC working with some of those large companies.
Grow cherries grow, but let's not over fertilize the outlook.
