I don't think anyone can argue the points you've made, but time after time we've come so close (like we are now) and everything has had a way of slipping through our hands or getting in our way and causing yet another "long wait". As a result, everyone is cautiously optimistic. It's tough to be confident when we no so little about what is actually going on.
