If anyone is going to look at 90/010520 to see what it says, pay particular attention to page 16, where requestor states

"claim 1 recites a memory extend of said cpu integrated circuit"

Then goes on the say:

"For the purpose of this request the word "extend" is assumed to mean "external.""

The examiner could have rejected the submission based on that statement, but since he decided to proceed, my guess is that he is looking to at least get an amendment to the patent to obtain clarification of the word "extend." Which is not a problem, but will delay any finality, IMHO
