There may be more to the dispute between Moore and TPL than meets the eye.
In my corporate experience, management will take any opportunity to undo an agreement that redone will put them in a better position. As an example -I have a sales background and had previously had as a part of my compensation - commission directly tied to sales. Once major accounts had been developed and it appeared that I would be making what management considered "too much" in commission they started to renegotiate this and adjust that to their benefit. They would latch on to a technicality that I had not done ALL of the work associated with the quoting or engineering activity etc and would adjust downward accordingly. I was left with the choice of accepting what was still a pretty good package relatively speaking or of going toe-to-toe with my employer basically burning that bridge etc. Moore and TPL's relationship may have degraded based upon similar "technicalities". Moore may have had certain hoops that he would have had to jump through to live up to his side of the bargain etc etc.
In most cases - in these kinds of disputes, how you view a particular set of circumstances depends upon which side of the table you are on.
Not defending TPL here. Just saying we are only hearing one side of the story.
If you asked my management, they would likely take the position that my product line practically sells itself. I on the other hand would ask them why it is then that they had not sold this product to that OEM ever before if it were so easy etc etc. You get the picture.
I gave you a thumbs up BTW!
