The reason why there is an extension for teh time to file for an appeal is clearaly stated that the 336 is almost recertified and that if it wil be recertified then the appeal will be unnecessary ant that will be a wats of everyone's time and money.

Given the high probability that the recert will be issued this week teh USPTO is granting an extension - that wil lobviously only be used should the recert not be granted.

So there is small chance since it aint over till its over... moreover in all that's transpired and with the new wording of the patents can any of the infringers be labled as WILLFUL given that the patent wasn't even valid until Augist 14, 2009.

That's my question is this just small licenses or will there any chance for punitive damages if not there's little reason to settle for anything in teh past
