<How the hell did this new requester come up with prior art that would apply to a claim #1 that was modified, clarified, focused or narrowed during the re-exam but yet this same prior art does not apply to the original claim 1 (before the re-exam changes were made)???>

Claim 1 was amended to include additional clarifying information about the second clock. Requestor looked at the language of the amended claim and found prior art that matches or looks similar. Why would it apply to the original when the language was not there?
