When it comes to our own families and their life and death medical care, which software would you want running at your medical care facility? Crossflo?
From my personal experience and bits of information I've gathered, the VA Medical System seems to be the most proven, effective, and efficient software healthcare system in the world. And it's being continually improved, since its birth in the 1970s.
That big old company with relatively new software or that small new company (read Crossflo) with new wiz-bang software is going to be a hard sell to medical institutions if Doctors have any say in it. I’d generally vote with the doctors, and I think that will be bad for Crossflo. How about you? Would you want a proven system running in the background?
“VA has been shown in study after study to be providing the highest-quality medical care in America by such metrics as patient safety, patient satisfaction, and the observance of proven clinical protocols, even while reducing the cost per patient.” www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2009/0907.longman.html
