I'm pretty sure the answer to the above question is no. It is the same patent. The new claims are not considered expanding/enlarging the scope of the original patent.

<Any new or amended claims are examined to ensure that the scope of the original patent claims is not enlarged, i.e., broadened. >

However, those new claims can make it easier for a court to determine infringement.
