This ob company and started out as a similar original / former client of "hawk associates" as was PTSC. Their stock was around .16 cents or so when they did the reverse split. While I was not very happy about the 40 to 1 reverse split to do it..I am posting this as an example that it can be done..and they did it without being "shorted down to nothing" as another poster claimed in the interium after the split - or that they "went to far" to make it so.

While each circumstance is unique (and hopefully we will not need to do it based on the recent developments) , I am merely posting this as an example for what it is worth.
