GKRichard:

All of these listed partners are providers of enterprise-level solutions, and that is why PDSG is not listed, IMO. A given enterprise might choose one solution, or any number of other solutions for their institutional needs, resulting in a great number of institutions that cannot share information easily in a way that also ensures they can securely control their own data stores. None of them do what CDX does; CDX operates at a different level, that is, standards-based secure data exchange layered onto the enterprise solution, and this is required to link all of these disparate enterprise systems together at the local, state- and nation-wide system level for seamless, controlled and secure sharing of information.

CDX is not an EMR solution; we do not digitize and/or manage medical recorders. CDX is the solution for taking that EMR data and allowing it to be shared between those institutions that have chosen the proprietary-like solutions such as those found on the HP enterprise list to which you provided a link. We do not do what GE or Cerner do, and they are not our competition, in my very humble opinion.

Without an understanding of what the CDX solution is and does, one cannot compare it to anything. I know you have been in the healthcare industry for many years, and I trust your experience with solutions such as Cerner's is valuable and accurate, but I do not think you understand what the CDX solution is.

Cheers,

DG
