Back to avoiding answering questions and making straw man arguments? In case you missed it, PTSC hasn't received anything more than a partial redemption of their ARS investment at par. When there is a large finacial penalty extacted from DB, then perhaps in total, we can make a judgement and the ARS may have proved ultimately a "good" investment from a return perspective. But it will be difficult to ever toatlly analyze or quantify the "opportunity costs" that he unwise financial decision by the CFO and the BOD to invest 67% of the company's money in that vehicle.
Just as an example, do you think the ARS debacle had any influence on the ultimate performance of the share price after the April 14 disclosure? How much of and effect on the terms of the cash/share ratio of the Crossflo deal was due to the money being illiquid in the ARS vs having cash available, and how much of a negative on did the ARS disclosure have on the market's view of PTSC and thus lowering the share price and in return RAISING the number of shares needed to make up the payment to Crossflo shareholders?
Are you an Oakland Raiders fan? I ask, because, they too met their obligaitions yesterday as they do every Sunday. They showed up and fielded a team and played the game against the Giants. They too made mistake after mistake, made many an unwise play selection or decision, behaved selfishly without a recognizable unified approach, and got taken advantage by a more prepared, qualified, and disciplined team and got their clocks cleaned 44-7.
They too have significant assets in their talent pool. World class athletes, some of whom are recognized as the top, or among the top at their positions. Yet, because of a culture that that team breeds from within, and a coaching staff that is consistently either weak in quality or that is limited by the edicts to them from the team's majority partner, and an owner who some say is certifiable, and most agree is way past his skill level in being able to provide a direction to the team that will lead them to success, they continue to flounder, wasting their talent, and squander opoortunity after opportunity, not to mention losing game after game. They haphazardly change "direction" or "reposition" themselves every couple of years or so under the guise of improvment, yet the results remain the same.
Yet those on the inside, make their millions, coaches get their take, the owner continues to get his benefits, and YES, the team continues to "meet their obligations"....technically that is.
On second though, I don't think you could be a Raiders fan, as I don't suppose the Raider fans think the team has met their obligations.
I guess when you meet the minimum threshold of breathing and having a pulse, you too get a 9th place ribbon from milestone. Based on your volumes of posts, that seems to be the level of performance that you require from our B.O.D. That clarifies most of your comments when understood in that context.
Perhaps you're really Matt Millen!? That must be it!
