Since the website of Talis Data is down for more than a week I asked Mrs. Hartley from IR about this issue. Her answer is straight forward (to be honest: it's the first time I remember to have receveid an answer like this) but disappointing from a shareholder's perspective:
"Dear Mr. XXXXXXXX:
As disclosed in our quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the period ended August 31, 2009, we fully wrote down our investment in Talis Data Systems as a result of their inability to meet their business plan and raise capital. Although we are only a minority investor in that entity, that the same factors that caused us to write down our investment are likely impacting their ability to operate.
Best regards,
Angela Hartley"
Well, so far our investments in other companies look like this:
- Talis: dead
- Nu-Power: dead
- Avot: nearly dead
- Crossflo/PDSG: doctor (Baroni) is checking how big the chances are to save its life
- Holocom: alive
No need to comment this...there's still only one reason for the existence of PTSC and therefore it will be crucial to find the right CEO for PTSC (not for PDSG, this seems to be a lot easier because it's "only" about special skills in the field of software and government/health) who's able to INVEST the monies from the MMP hopefully coming soon AND huge in a right way - and without any San Diego connection!
