Many of the previous post on this new mtg site spoke of the weather in my home town (43 years ago) and I remember distinctly having to trudge to school in two feet of snow up hill and then return later in the afternoon going home uphill in three feet of snow. So there is certainly something to be said about the weather not being up to San Diego standards. In addition to the temperatures there are probably more delayed or canceled flights into the Windy City in that month then any other. However......

I believe there is something more going on here then making it convenient for shareholders or should I say the average Joe shareholder. The airfares to Chicago from all over right now are very reasonable so get them while they are low. However Chicago is not cheap and it is more difficult and expensive to get around for one who is not familiar with the city. Remember in San Diego you got on a freeway five minutes from the airport went north and in 30 - 45 minutes you were in Carlsbad. This meeting in Chicago is being held smack dab on the miracle mile (or close to it). It is right near the lake front (Michigan Ave) and if you fly into Midway on Southwest you will be "closer" to the meeting location then flying into O'Hare but it is farrrr away. True there is a el train you can take in but folks this is not to make it easy.

I really believe this is a New York decision. I now believe that TPL is no longer in control. I do not know if it is Swartz or some other entity but someone wants to take the meeting away from where ptsc has all it's operation and from many of it's shareholders or should I say original shareholders on the West Coast. I could of seen a move to Denver, San Francisco, Dallas (for weather) but Chicago. I do not know but it may be possible this is going to be a showcase meeting for somebody or some entity in trying to off load all or part of us and maybe even combine it with TPL. I am not a conspiracy theorist but going to the Windy City in January from San Diego in January. I am open to many other ideas and I would appreciate hearing from my friends in New York, Northern California, Louisiana and of course the ones I have here in San Diego and the LA/Orange County area on what they think.
