In that interview summary it states that it was agreed that the instruction processing aspect of the term "processing unit" could be clafified on the record without amending the claims and the examiner would need time to fully consider the arguments presented by Hennman re:control signals of Kagigaya. Also the examiner stated he needed time to reconsider the rejection of Bagula in view of Tanimura.
That was the last we heard from the examiner. Then the re-ex was merged. We don't, in the latest documents, have his answer, just "housekeeping" amendments to bring both re-ex's to the same condition so that the proceedings may continue(similar to the merged '749). See Decision Merging Proceedings 10-02-2009.
