The latest reexam of the 336 uses Mostek, Dozier and Richter in conjunction with Kato, Ledzius, IC Master and McDermott references.
I am wondering to what extent we can immediately discount some of the SNQs. The question of what exactly constitutes a cpu is at issue in the 148 reexam. If we assume that the examiner is statisfied with our and the technical dictionary's definition, I would hope we can elimiate SNQs containing Ledzius and Kato. IC Master 1980 is a reference book and an online search of my local public library indicates it does not have it.
Is anyone willing to see if their public library has the reference book and check what is on pages 2019 (F3870 example specifically) and pages 2024 through 2026. The question is whether the discussion on any of these pages deals with a central processing unit cpu as it was defined for us in the 148 response. Or are we just talking circuits like Kato and Ledzius.
I am hoping that IC Master 1980 references are similar to Kato and Ledzius and can be discounted as well. Leaving only Richter in view of McDermott to focus on and analyze.
Obviously, if those pages can be copied, downloaded and posted here, that would be of enormous help as we could get more opinions from people like DesignGuy etc.
In the meantime I'll check with some of the other larger libraries that are within travelling distance.
