Don't KNOW what y'all were expecting....

It's a proxy. When has PTSC ever announced something significant in a proxy? The ONLY thing ever announced in a proxy (or shown) has to do with BoD membership. Why? Because they have to. Only other things would have to do with authorization of more Preferred/Common shares, again, because they have to.
So we discover that they want to add a BoD member. One from (seemingly) outside the circle, and with good credentials. I personally doubt this has much to do with outsourcing (though it's possible) and more to do with growing business on a global level.
And people continue to bitch and moan about compensation. Old news. SOS. While I agree it appears excessive from the standpoint of member contribution (effort exerted, though we really have no idea, at all, how much effort is exerted), keep in mind that HQ is where it is, and the cost of living there is extremely high compared with most of the country/world. Go to realtor.com and check the cost of housing in Carlsbad, even in these economic times. It ain't Kansas. But I agree, it still appears excessive. Like BoD membership, there is virtually nothing we can do about it, so why go on and on and on? Pointless unless you can come up with a solution. It's like the weather. Nothing you can do about it. If it's intolerable, move.
And I've suggested several times that if they want to cut costs, move HQ to Vegas, (or Austin, or Pheonix....) where the cost of living/facilities is low (which should allow more cuts in compensation). HQ can be anywhere.
In any case, it's all old news, and old griping.
Any announcements of significance will come at the SHM. And that point in time may be premature. Baroni is expecting to have results by year end, maybe. Then they'll have to consider his recommendations, including for new CEO. Then they'll have to pursue candidates. So identifying a new CEO by SHM is probably a stretch - unless they select Baroni himself. Same with any other proposed initiatives. They'll have to kick it around before acting/announcing.
PDSG is by no means dead. Gov't expentitures aren't expected (currently) till after the first of the year. But it sounds like most here have already thrown it out with the bath water. Silly.
And there's the all-mighty MMP. IMO, we're on the verge of great things on that front, and we know it. 12/15/09. And, as I think we now KNOW, with the Gazatte full text can then be examined against the latest re-exam. Good chance the new re-exam will die a miserable death. Then we're golden, IMO.
We KNOW all this.
Why do you think there's all this negativity being thrown around? Coupled, by one, with announcements of "I bought more". Why do you think that is? Think.
As for the PPS, no surprise. Actually, IMO, the only surprise is that it has dropped more. FUD abounds. Economy sucks, and Xmas is just around the corner. People could use some cash right now. And it's tax loss selling season. IMO, we're holding up real well, all things considered.
I'm just hoping the FUDsters get their fill and go away soon. Enough already.
JMHOs,
