It was not my post but recently someone posted the ruling on infringmment calculations on an amended patent...when amended, the date of infringement starts anew from that reissue date of the patent...and that means today the 15th.
It's basically a new patent, with new wording and added claims....and with an origin date that stays the same though...and the chances of extension are slim and none for the time consumed by a reexam...the PTO will extend the date of expiration though if there is undue delay to some process they were involved in that caused a lengthening of the reexam process...like a lost file for example.
