You are probably right about tax loss selling. I think you have to wait 30 days(?) to buy back in. If so, it is interesting that the ASHM was planned for the Jan. 28th.

And would that be 30 days after the sale, or thirty days after Dec. 31th? All my funds are in an IRA so I don't really have to do Tax loss selling and have never investigated it.
